Originally from West Cork, Finbarr Kinmonth Duerden comes from a background in architecture, a discipline that continues to influence his approach to design. He began his journey in goldsmithing under the guidance of his father, a skilled goldsmith himself, who provided Finbarr with a strong foundation in traditional techniques.

Drawn to the precision and artistry of stone setting, Finbarr spent a year teaching himself the craft before refining his skills further through hands-on experience in the trade. Working under a microscope, he developed a meticulous attention to detail that now defines his distinctive style.
